Glock 43 Light - Small compact handguns are good for concealed carry for many reasons. However, they are often limited in terms of options for adding lights or lasers. There are some mediocre options out there, but the Glock 43 TLR-6 keeps your compact handgun slim while still giving you the benefits of having a sidearm and laser.
The Streamlight TLR-6 is a simple design, but it's modular for the Streamlight. The light/laser module is a fixed design. Each Streamlight is designed in a clamshell design that covers the trigger guard for many different pistols.

Since the TLR-6 covers the trigger guard, they are model dependent. It just so happens that the Glock 42 and 43 have the same trigger guard dimensions, so it works for either gun. And I suspect it will work for the Glock 48 and other similar single variant 9mm Glocks.

The TLR-6 is powered by two CR-1/3N lithium batteries, which last for one hour. Run time isn't great, but that's for a CCW gun. How often do you use light and laser? Of course, practice helps with this, but know that a light and laser of this size will break something, and in this case, it's run time. Streamlight sells replacement batteries for the TLR-6 that come in a set of two for about $5 or less online. It's not a terrible price. I think I'd like a USB charging solution, but there's always the fear that the battery will die eventually. Add to that the fact that most USB charging lights don't have replaceable batteries. So having to keep replacing the CR-1/3N lithium batteries every hour of charging is a small sacrifice.
You can see that the Glock 43 TLR-6 is quite thin. She is more than bitter. Perfect for concealed carry.
I would prefer the laser to be placed above the light for two reasons. First, in thermal conditions, the laser beam will approach the barrel with a lower height. Second, the light lens will be further away from the barrel, which reduces muzzle blast.
The body of the TLR-6 has two-handed activation buttons that allow you to use either hand as well as fire. Just slide your index finger forward to tap the side button. Pressing both buttons at the same time will toggle the positions. It can have laser, fire, or both laser and fire at the same time.
Trigger Guard Light/laser By Streamlight Tlr 6
The Streamlight website says the beam distance is 89 meters. I don't think that's accurate. On paper that may be based on luxury but not on actual results. I find the Glock 43 TLR-6 light to be best for USPSA ranges - 20 yards and closer.
At just 100 lumens, this light won't stare at the retina, but that's not what it's designed for. Given the distance at which this fire operates, it is more designed to positively identify your target. As a former gun shop guy, I always advise customers to be careful with their guns. Night sights are nice, but they aren't as important as being able to see and identify your target.
TLR-6 is low. It weighs only 1.2 ounces. It comes in black or FDE because the Glock 43 comes in those colors.

Due to the design of the Glock 43 TLR-6, I do not recommend removing it unless absolutely necessary. The housing does not support zero when you remove and re-install the TLR-6 back into the trigger guard of the Glock 43. A nice design feature is the three screws that screw the housing around the trigger guard with the same hex key required for air conditioning and higher . I hate laser designs that use different sized tools.
Tlr 6 Light/laser For Sub Compact Glocks
The TLR-6 is very affordable at under $130 retail. The light won't break your target, but it will help you identify it. Weapon lasers may seem like a useless accessory, but they have their uses. You can aim the gun without being behind the scope if your laser is properly zeroed. In some cases, I find it's faster to point the laser than the red dot.
If you have a Glock 43 or 42, I would recommend getting a TLR-6 to increase your ability to shoot in low light. Streamlight makes a TLR-6 for many small guns. Check the compatibility list on their website to see if your weapon can use the TLR-6. For more information on the TLR-6, go to Streamlight's website.
